20 Years ago my mother developed a severe allergy to metal with the exception of stainless steel. At that time Stainless jewelry was not easy to come by and she was unhappy to have to give up wearing so much of her favorite jewelry. I decided in that moment that I would learn how to make chainmaille jewelry, for mom.

Fast forward a couple of years and lets just say it was NOT working out! Finally fed up I packed my pliers, rings & tutorials way for the last time. That same night I had a dream. Two hands appeared in front of me and told me "this is what you're doing wrong". and gave me a one-on-one tutorial! In the morning I unpacked my supplies, did exactly what I learned in my dream ant BOOM. I "Mailled" my butt off for over 10 years, opening my first Etsy shop in 2011. Talk about a dream come true!

Unfortunately more than a decade bending steel has had a severe impact on my hands and I can no longer wield my pliers as I once did. It's been a year since taking on new projects and treatment is going very well, however, I realized that I can't go back to what has done so much damage.

Today, what you will find here at The Sassy Minx (Formally GMBC Fet Club,) is a lighter version of my popular jewelry. Still the same excellent quality my customers have come to expect of me and that I'm so happy to be able to continue to provide. I have met some of the most wonderful people over the years though my shop. I am truly blessed and enjoyed serving each one of them.

Recently, I've given my shop a fresh face becoming fabulous The Sassy Minx. This is to expand and include another passion - putting graphics & text art together. It is SO much fun to do and my hands are grateful for a less challenging craft! The re-vamp is still in progress so you will still see my jewelry & "Fet" accessories branded with GMBC Fet Club, for now.

Still here? You're pretty hardcore ;-) I like that.
